ADDITIVE MASTERBATCH

UV Masterbatch

UV masterbatches are used to solve the degradation problems associated with exposure to sunlight.
Due to sunlight and some artificial lights can cause cracking, chalking, colour changes and the loss of physical properties of the product which can be resolved by these masterbatches.

Anti Block Masterbatch
Once compounded into a plastic these masterbatches create a micro rough surface which reduces the adhesion between film layers and lowers the blocking tendency.
Antiblock Materbatches are added to films and bags to keep the sheets from sticking together. They are used to lessen the adhesion of the surface of products made from the formulation of like or different surfaces. These Masterbatches act by producing a slight roughening of the surface-thus allowing easy opening of bags.
Combinations with antiblock and slip products offer cost effective products for use in the film industry. Antiblock agents are mainly used in film extrusion.

Polymer Processing Aid Masterbatches

Polymer Process Aid (PPA) Masterbatches are specifically designed to enhance extrusion ability of plastics (PE Films, pipes, tubes...) leading to productivity and / or quality improvement.
Normally there is a common practice to process at higher temperatures to get maximum out put which causes degradation, die deposition and reduction in mechanical properties. By adding PPA MAsterbatch , processing is possible at lower temperature with higher output without compromising the mechanical properties.


Slip Masterbatches

Slip masterbatch are used to five easy slippage property over the surface of product

Antimicrobial Masterbatches

Antimicrobials maintain hygiene by controlling /decreasing the amount of micro-organisms on the object surface.
Different types of microbes like mould fungi, mildew fungi, algae, yeasts are found everywhere. Untreated plastic articles can be attacked by growth of microbes causing discoloration, unpleasant odors and polymer degradation. Antimicrobial masterbatches can be incorporated with plastic resins during compounding which provide a biocide treatment to control microbes. These antimicrobials protect the surface from staining and degradation caused by micro-organisms.
This product is suitable for food grade applications also.

Antioxidant Masterbatch

Antioxidant Masterbatches help you combat the degradation of plastic due do oxygen and heat.

Plastics generally age rapidly under the effects of light, oxygen and heat leading to :


Loss of strength, stiffness of flexibility
Discoloration
Scratching and loss of gloss
Antioxidant masterbatch helps to aid from above stated problems

Fire Retardant Masterbatches

As many plastics are inherently flammable, measures must be taken to increase their safety in applications where there is the risk of fire. Often the most cost effective method of doing this is to add a fire retardant during processing.


Purging Compound Masterbatches

Nucleating Masterbatch

Nucleation has traditionally been used to improve physical properties of polypropylene.
It has evolved to offer many more benefits including cycle time reduction, warpage improvements, dimensional control, barrier enhancements and improved aesthetics.
Polypropylene is a semi-crystalline polymer. AddKan Nucleating Masterbatches increases the crystallization rate and the overall percent crystallinity of the polymer. The faster crystallization rate allows for higher productivity by reducing the moulding cycle time and extrusion processes. The overall percentage crystallinity of the polymer improves the stiffness and heat deflection temperature.
